Burgundy hollow horse trials 2014

Even those without horse experience are able to do it. Just set up a chair near the fence s you are judging, but not too close. The horse and riders leave the start gate at 2 minute intervals so as not to interfere with each other. Sometimes it can be rather boring just sitting there waiting for the next horse to come through. Where I was positioned, I was able to watch the dressage phase in between riders.

At least we had no casualties. It was quite a relaxing day. If you are interested in having a relaxing day and feel like doing something out of the ordinary, come out to the next horse trials at Burgundy Hollow.

The best thing is: no experience necessary. The next event at Burgundy Hollow will be July 26th. I have volunteered at numerous horse trials and horse shows.

They are all exciting to watch. I'll have to take you to one sometime. Brigita, With a daughter who rides, I have spent my share of weekends judging, scribing and whatever else was needed.

I enjoy watching all sorts of events. Watching my daughter go from a beginning scared rider to confident young women has been wonderful.

I know exactly what you mean. I was at every show my kids rode in and then some. My 2 became confident with every year they rode. They both now have leadership roles as adults. It is wonderful what horses teach kids. Brigita, just as long as they don't have that fall on you! This looks like a lot of fun. I know when I had horses they really lifted my spirits just being around them. Thanks for sharing. Whenever I need uplifting, I always turn to my horse.

They have a way of lifting your spirits. Hope to see you there! Comments 10 Subscribe to Comments Comment. Show All Comments. I have only seen it on TV! Brigita McKelvie, Associate Broker.
