I too am a user. I had to do a system restore, which did give me the web sound again. However, IE 11 is completely unstable and I can't really use it at all. I have tried all the windows updates, etc and nothing else seems to get it to function without the dreaded "not responding" incident every 10 seconds. I had silverlight already, but thank you for the suggestion. I can try to switch to Chrome again, but at the moment it would just be great to get one web browser to work as expected.
